Future of flight - engines

In this Future of Flight challenge pupils investigate Newton’s Third Law by designing, building and racing balloon carts. They also explore what a jet engine is, and how it works, using an explanation of a jet engine to order the parts. They then build their own 3D Trent Engine. Pupils are also challenged to create saturated solutions and use them to grow crystals and carry out speed, distance and time calculations.
