Tech
In this resource from the Construction Youth Trust, students are introduced to the basics of architecture and are asked to make their own plans for a building project. The materials have been written to help a non-teaching STEM professional to work with students in an educational setting.
The resource comes with comprehensive teacher notes, presentations and student materials.
The session aims for students to learn more about the role of an architect and to experience some of the skills required in this field.
The materials were written to help schools address Gatsby Benchmark 2: Learning from career and labour market information, Gatsby Benchmark 5: Encounters with employers and industry employees and Gatsby Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers.
