Mathematical measuring - lengths of leaves
This resource focusses on measuring the lengths and widths of leaves from a tree, placing the data in a table and calculating the mean average of each. In this activity learners will measure the lengths and widths of six leaves from a single tree. They will place this data in a table and then calculate the mean average length and width of the leaves from the tree. They will also develop and reinforce their knowledge of the different parts of a leaf by labelling it. All resources required to run this activity are provided, including a presentation, activity sheet, measurement worksheet, parts of the leaf worksheet and teacher guide.
