Year 5 - stage 7
This resources gives Year 5 pupils the opportunity to apply their mathematical skills in the context of a budget and solving multi step problems. This session should be completed after or during a teaching unit on written addition and subtraction methods. This lesson plan offers an engaging purpose for learning where pupils could find out the cost of ingredients using the internet or even complete it in a supermarket giving them the chance to pay for items themselves. This session is the seventh in a ten session long STEM project provided by NFU Education.
