Year 4 project outline
This resource provides a brief overview of a STEM project which supports Year 4 pupils working in groups to set up a farm shop business, design, make and market and new lunchtime food product, using dairy. This project provides a range of opportunities to enhance Year 4 National Curriculum for:
- Science; focusing on Plants, Animals, including humans, Everyday Materials, Working Scientifically and States of Matter.
- Maths; looking specifically at measuring (length and weight), estimating, money, basic fractions, data collection
- Design technology; allowing children the opportunity to design and make packaging.
This resource is produced by the NFU (National Farming Union).
