Java programming with Greenfoot: classes and objects (teacher commentary)
The fundamental concepts of object oriented programming, classes and objects, are explained to students in this video tutorial. The correct terminology is also introduced, including referring to ‘instructions’ as ‘methods’. Students will be able to create multiple objects within a class using the examples contained in the tutorial. They will also explore ‘return types’, such as void, int (integer) and Boolean. This is demonstrated using the example of an animated turtle that students can also download and manipulate themselves.
