Physics quantities and units

This video provides a brief introduction to the seven base units used in physics. Base units are identified with their symbols and S.I units.

The origin and definition of the metre is explained and reference to Wikipedia is made for definitions of the other base units.

The seven base units are: time (seconds/s), length (metre/m), mass (kilogram/kg), temperature (kelvin/K), current (ampere/A), amount of substance (mole/mol) and luminosity (candela/cd).
