Project Faraday: exemplar designs for science

The project was part of a wider Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) programme to encourage more young people to continue studying science beyond the age of 16. It addresses in particular a commitment in the Government’s Ten Year Science and Innovation Framework 2004–2014 to “review the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) exemplar designs for school labs to
ensure that  they reflect the latest thinking on what is required to ensure effective, interactive teaching”. The project was aimed at secondary schools.
