Year Two Summer Term
Aimed at primary children from six to seven years of age, this resource supports learning about sequences, fractions, addition and subtraction. Two detailed weekly plans contain differentiated activities, guided and independent tasks and a list of resources required for each lesson. Objectives covered in the lessons include:
Week One
- Count in two, fives, tens and threes
- Recognise multiples of 2, 5, 10 and 3
- Find halves, quarters and three quarters of amounts
Week Two
- Mental addition and subtraction: double and half using partitioning
- Add 2-digit numbers by partitioning or counting on
- Subtract a 2-digit number from another by counting back
