Travel Graphs

This interactive excel program covers distance/time and velocity/time graphs.

The first interactive sheet shows a distance/time graph made of line segments and some questions relating to speed for each segment and the time when velocity is zero. The second sheet shows the journeys of two people.

The third sheet shows a velocity/time graph made of line segments and the questions relate to finding either the acceleration or the distance travelled for each segment. The final sheet shows a more realistic velocity/time graph and students need to use the trapezium rule to calculate an estimate for the distance travelled.

The resource also has seven sheets of printable sets of questions which may be suitable for use within the classroom.

Note: This program was designed to be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on a machine.
