Radians: Arcs and Sectors

This collection of interactive excel sheets look at radians, arc length, sector area, converting to and from degrees, and other related problems.

The first sheet displays a sector of a circle and corresponding interior angle. The angle value is given in radians as a decimal and in terms of π, as well as in degrees. The size of the sector can be adjusted.

The second interactive sheet shows another adjustable circle sector. On this sheet the radius and angle in radians can be altered, and the arc length calculated.

The next sheet shows a third adjustable sector. On this sheet the radius and angle in radians can be altered, and the area of the sector calculated.

The following sheets contain a series of questions to display. Answers can be revealed by the click of a button. The first sheet provides the opportunity to practice converting degrees into radians. The second sheet contains questions on arc length and the area of sector and circles.

The final sheets look at a problem involving a tethered goat, and includes a step by step solution to be worked through.
