Differentiation and Integration
This resource contains eleven problems requiring students to explore where turning points occur, match statements about functions to statements about derivative functions and gradients of graphs at specific points on the curve, explore the tangent and normal to a curve, suggest a possible graph given information about the function, the gradient of the function and the rate of change of the gradient of the function. Students are also required to express integrals in terms of other integrals, match integrals with functions and to explain whether a given solution to an integral question is correct. Each problem is constructed in a way which creates the opportunity for rich discussion in the classroom.
