This resource from Boxford describes the development of a CNC routed dip tank for the dip coating process. Exemplar CAD files and a supporting video are provided. Photographs show the assembled dip tank and the dip coating process is described. Materials, tools and equipment needed both to make the tank and complete the dip coating process are given. The TechSpan Fluidised Bath Demo video supports this by showing the dip coating process. The object to be coated is placed inside the bath and receives a good finish. Curriculum links include the use of CAD/CAM to produce products and finishing techniques for metals.
