This resource from Boxford shows how a range of different finishing techniques can be used on a piece of jewellery.
The video demonstrates how this can be done by hand or using tools. A file is used to remove any rough marks from a bracelet, moving to sandpaper and then a steel tool for a finer, burnished finish.
Some cast flowers are then finished using a small grinding machine, giving extra precision on the smaller and more complex piece of jewellery. A polishing lathe is also demonstrated, along with a tumbler.
Finally, a range of different rubber polishing wheels is shown with different sizes and grits.
