A New Chemistry

This book was written for chemistry students from the age of 11 to 16. Some of the subject matter would currently be appropriate for Advanced Level Chemistry students. The text is divided into chapters, describing the key concepts. There are end-of-chapter questions to test comprehension, and example exam questions related to the chapter are also included. Answers to numerical questions are provided towards the end of the text. The chapters in the text cover: physical and chemical changes; elements, compounds and mixtures; fundamental processes; gas laws and Kinetic Theory; crystals; atomic theory; atomic structure and the periodic table; oxidation and reduction; acids, bases and salts; types and rates of reaction; electrochemistry; qualitative and volumetric analysis; and group I to VII elements and their compounds.
