The ten practical activities in this resource use bubbles as a context for developing investigation skills, such as planning, the control of variables and data analysis. The experiments can be carried out in any order and integrated into an existing scheme of work, and are ideal as part of a circus of activities around the classroom. The activities can be developed for longer term investigations if required.
The activities cover particle theory, viscosity, solubility, pressure, the Cartesian diver, insulation. Student worksheets are included with some of the experiments.
Warwick Process Science was compiled by an experienced team of teachers from comprehensive schools, mainly in Leicestershire, in collaboration with the University of Warwick.
