Project Management

The Science with Technology Project Management unit, from the Association for Science Education and the Design and Technology Association, introduces students to some of the techniques and skills that can help people to manage projects more effectively. It was developed in collaboration with experts in the company Brown and Root as part of the Toolkit produced by the project.

The first part of the unit takes students through a series of activities to teach them the techniques of project management. Advice is given on how students can use these techniques to manage their own projects and assignments. In the second part of the unit students are taken through a process to plan and carry out a research enquiry which could include practical investigations. This provides information and data to support their project or assignment.
