Calculator Workshop

A collection of seventy four activities designed for use with a calculator. Topics covered include all four operations of number, number bonds, number machines, factors, missing signs, fraction to decimal conversions, areas of rectangles, perfect squares, factorials and investigating the ratio of two consecutive Fibonacci numbers. Activities range from those suitable for lower primary school-aged students to activities suitable for use in the secondary classroom. Each of the activities is self explanatory and in many instances contain copies of worksheets or playing boards in the case of games. The activities in this booklet, produced by Manchester Polytechnic, came about as the result of an ATM Calculator workshop for students of all ages during 1986.
