Normal distribution

This Core Maths activity gives students the opportunity to practise using the Normal Distribution to solve problems in a variety of situations.

Students calculate and interpret mean and standard deviation and draw diagrams such as a box plot. They need a good understanding of how to calculate probabilities using the Normal Distribution.

The materials include answers to the eight problems posed in the activity.

Pretty sure some of the answers are wrong

Hi Cameron- I agree! As the CMSP is not longer running, we'll have a look at ammending the answer sheet here at STEM Learning.

Interesting to note that the author was using normal distribution tables to solve the questions- I'd suggest using an appropriate calculator might now be a more popular option?
