Mechanical Engineer: Andrew Keen
This STEMNET resource describes the background and career of STEM Ambassador Andrew Keen, a graduate engineer.
Andrew studied Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing before gaining a placement with an aerospace design company. Following a Masters of Engineering degree in Materials and further work experience, Andrew was offered a job with a company which manufactures diesel engines.
Andrew remaks, “I’ve been given a licence to come up with ideas! I’m encouraged to offer a novel and innovative approach to problem solving without too many constraints.”
