This resource provides six lessons on magnets aimed at Year 3. Children are asked to help Mr Andrew Newton of the British Scientific Society  to develop some exciting activities on the theme of Magnetism to delight visitors at their annual science fair.  Using this context they are introduced to the mysteries of magnetic forces through a series of activities, which are:  

  • May the force be with you!
  • Acting forces
  • Magnetic attraction
  • Poles apart
  • Magnetic fun time
  • All the fun of the fair!
