MOD Boscombe Down is the home of the Air Test and Evaluation Centre (ATEC), a civil-military partnership between the Air Warfare Centre and QinetiQ PLC, the company which provides technological and scientific expertise to the Ministry of Defence.

The unique partnership within ATEC means that MOD Boscombe Down represents an exceptionally broad cross section of careers within the Aerospace, Engineering, Defence and other supporting fields and, we believe, is perfectly placed to provide a centre of STEM excellence for education establishments in the region.

Themes for the day:

  • presentations with an overview of work conducted at Boscombe;

  • STEM provision at Boscombe Down;

  • opportunities to shape STEM provision to suit the needs of the school/college

We hope to be able to provide a tour of some of the facilities at the Station and will also provide a working lunch. Further details will be promulgated prior to the end of the academic year.

We hope that you will be able to join us for this unique and exciting event. Numbers are limited and it is recommended that you limit bids for places to 3 per establishment and prioritise bids based on department positions related to the STEM subjects.
