World Asthma Day - 6th May 2025

This collection of resources aimed at secondary school pupils includes a resource produced by Science & Plants for Schools (SAPS) to help put hayfever and asthma into the wider contexts of both plant and human biology, resources to explore lungs and respiration with peak flow tests, measuring total lung volume, blood oxygen levels and measuring the effects of exercise to investigate lung function. Pupils also explore how different activities affect their breathing and find out how statistical techniques are used to monitor air quality in London, they also learn about the causes of human pollution in cities and how air quality might be improved to help people living with asthma and other lung conditions.
