Cell cell cell

The resources in this collection cover teaching about cells for students aged 11-16.  They were produced to enrich a visit to the Intech Science Centre, but can be used independently of a visit.

Cell! Cell! Cell! is the story of the trillions of cells that form our bodies, from our beginnings as a single cell to the complexity of a whole body: it’s the story of who we are.  The film is shown currently being shown at the INTECH Science Centre & Planetarium. Audience members join characters Raj and Sooki to dive into the busy world of cells, watching ‘alien trees’ and wriggling ‘slugs’ fly past on a giant 360o Fulldome screen.   The Astrium Planetarium, the largest-capacity planetarium in the UK, uses digital multi-projector technology and a cinema-grade surround-sound system to present dramatic visual shows on its 17 metre hemispheric screen.
