A CREST Bronze Award activity in which children investigate the conditions required to keep crisps fresh.

Make your own toothpaste and compare it with other brands

A Silver CREST Award activity which focuses  on students making toothpaste and modifying ingredients.  Students review flavouring and consider design aspects.

Making waves: acoustic engineering and sound control

In this activity students investigate the absorption of sound in the context of a sound engineer developing a performance space.

Equipment needed:

Microphone, speakers, computer and other generally-available materials.
