Snap science

Snap Science has been created by a team of leading experts to give subject leaders and teachers the confidence to develop a new scheme of work for science for their school which clearly meets the aims of the new National Curriculum for Science. This collection provides sample activities for each Year group at primary level. The activities are:

  • EYFS- Observation of earthworms and building a wormery
  • Year1- Observation of how trees change over a year
  • Year 2- Identification of plants and animals in habitats over a year
  • Year 3- Observation of how leaves and seeds on different trees over a year
  • Year 4- Classification of plants over a year
  • Year 5- Life cycles of plants and of reproduction
  • Year 6- Observation of animal behaviour at different times over a year.
