Episode 101: Introduction to Circuits
Activities include:
• a discussion about electrical circuits to reinforce knowledge and highlight misconceptions
• students look at how current flows in series and parallel circuits
• how the flow of current is affected by resistors
• setting up circuits and drawing circuit diagrams
• an introduction and demonstration on the use of multimeters.

The activities are:
• combining lamps in series and parallel
• deriving formulae for series and parallel resistance combinations
• worked examples of resistors in a circuit
• predicting and measuring resistance
• practice calculations with answers provided
Demonstration
Episode 108: Resistance
Activities include:
• demonstrating resistance in an electrical circuit
• defining and calculating resistance
• investigating the voltage and current characteristics in a constantan wire
• Ohm's law and ideas of ohmic and non-ohmic behaviour
• student calculations (and answers) with currents given in amps, milli-amps and micro-amps

How Does a Transistor Work?
Derek Mueller uses his talents for scientific explanation by video to introduce the transistor as well as explain the concepts of n- and p-type semiconductor and doping.
This is a good overview of semiconductors and how they are used to build transistors and diodes.
It is best used after introducing the characteristics of a diode so students have an idea that current is stopped before explaining how.
