Do you know someone who has encouraged young people to study engineering?

If you know somebody who has demonstrated excellence in encouraging and motivating young people into engineering, the Engineers Trust is currently looking for nominations for their Stephenson Award.

This annual award scheme aims to celebrate those who have encouraged, and continue to encourage, young people to study engineering.

Nominations are sought from those working in industry, the primary, secondary and further education sectors and appropriate voluntary organisations.

The closing date for applications is 1 March 2017.

The winner of the Stephenson Award will receive a medal and £1,000 prize.

Caroline Alliston was the winner of the 2016 Stephenson Award. Caroline is a professional engineer and now spends her time running popular workshops for schools, teachers, holiday clubs and many more.

To give even more young people the opportunity to have fun making things that really work, she provides training and resources to others including teachers and STEM Ambassadors that empowers and equips them to deliver the projects themselves.

If you would like to nominate somebody for this award, complete the application form and email it to stephenson@engineerstrust.org.uk
