Help Ofqual evaluate reformed qualifications

Mathematics and design and technology teachers are invited to take part in workshops with Ofqual to evaluate the impact of reformed qualifications.

Ofqual, the regulator of qualifications, examinations and assessments in England, is calling for teachers from across the country to attend workshops to offer their perspectives on the assessment of the reformed GCSEs, AS and A levels.

Volunteers are needed in these specific STEM subjects:

  • GCSE and A level design and technology
  • GCSE and A level statistics
  • A level mathematics and further mathematics

Ideally, Ofqual would like candidates to have taught the qualification, in its legacy and reformed version in order to be able to comment on the differences.

The workshops will be held in November at the Ofqual office in central Coventry, close to the main railway station. Travel expenses will be reimbursed and lunch will be provided.

Ofqual are also calling for teachers of these subjects:

  • GCSE and A level Chinese
  • GCSE and A level film studies
  • GCSE and A level media studies
  • GCSE business
  • A level geology
  • A level politics.
