The Royal Institution is offering UK state schools grants of up to £500 to host a mathematics enrichment and enhancement activity for their teachers and students.
Funded by the Clothworkers’ Foundation, the scheme is designed to integrate mathematics activities (such as shows, talks and workshops) into school practice and to support teachers’ professional development.
Successful applicants will receive £500 towards any mathematics activity listed on the STEM Directories. All activities that are funded by this grant must be held between January and July 2017.
The enhancement and enrichment activities are usually events or experiences that aim to go beyond the typical school curriculum, helping students to get the most out of their education.
This grant scheme is open to state-funded primary and secondary schools, as well as sixth-form and FE colleges in the UK.
The closing date for applications is 30 October 2016. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 29 November 2016.
