Designed to celebrate volunteers from around the world, International Volunteer Day takes place on 5 December 2017.

As a STEM Ambassador, you play an essential part in inspiring the next generation with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects and careers. International Volunteer Day is the perfect chance recognise this and get involved with a range of STEM-related activities.

Get involved with competitions and challenges

There is a whole host of competitions and challenges that you can support. Whether you can help to inspire 11-14 year olds with their entries to the Ultimate STEM Challenge or provide guidance for those looking to utilise the Cisco Little Big Futures resources, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Volunteer at a STEM Club

STEM Clubs offer young people invaluable opportunities to explore STEM in an informal setting. Research shows that being actively involved in a STEM Club has a real impact on a young person’s interest and engagement in studying STEM subjects. As a STEM Ambassador, you can play a crucial part of this.
