Get involved with British Science Week 2018

British Science Week is an annual celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Running from 9-18 March 2018, thousands of activities will be taking place across the UK for people of all ages.

To make it even easier for you to get involved, the British Science Association has a number of grant schemes to support you in running your British Science Week activities. Whether you are a school, college or community group, there is a grant for you. 

Kick Start Grants

Kick Start grants allow schools in challenging circumstances to organise and run their own events.

Kick Start grant

A grant of up to £300 for your school to run an activity during British Science Week.

The closing date for applications is 13 November 2017.

Kick Start More grant

A grant of up to £700 for your school to host a science event or activity which involves students and the local community.

The closing date for applications is 13 November 2017.

Kick Start Youth grant

£150 for your school to run an activity organised by students.

The closing date for applications is 19 January 2018.

British Science Week Community Grants

This scheme offers grants of between £500 to £1,000 for community groups that work directly with audiences who are traditionally under-represented and currently not engaged in science activity.

The closing date for applications is 13 November 2017.

How to apply

Applying for a grant is simple. Simply decide which grant you would like to apply for and complete the short online application form.
