Duracell’s Big Battery Hunt is back!

Duracell Big Battery Hunt

Young people in primary schools across the UK are invited to take part in Duracell’s Big Battery Hunt. This programme encourages children to think about the importance of recycling, and are challenged to collect as many used batteries as they can.

Once you have signed up, every child will receive a free battery collection box, and you can also request a battery container for your school. Over 500,000 pupils collected over four million batteries last year, and Duracell is keen for this year to be even bigger and better!

Alongside the battery collection box, you will also gain access to free, downloadable resources to teach your pupils about recycling and why it is so important.

Each school that books a collection for their batteries will be automatically entered into the Big Battery Hunt prize draw. By helping to recycle as many batteries as possible, your school could win:

  • a two-night class trip to the sustainability centre
  • a three-year subscription to MyMaths worth £1,000
  • £2,000 worth of school equipment vouchers
  • iPads
  • certificates and trophies

The competition closes on Monday 3 June 2019 so make sure you get a battery collection before then!
