The annual Design and Technology Association’s Summer School takes place on 6 and 7 July 2017 at De Montfort University’s new state of the art campus in Leicester.

The summer school provides the opportunity for all those involved in design and technology education to come together, listen, observe, and take part in workshops and discussions about the challenges that design and technology professionals are currently facing.

From September 2017, there will only be one design and technology GCSE offered by each of the awarding organisations. The summer school sessions will support teachers with implementing the changes as well as providing the opportunity to develop subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.

The workshops are designed to help teachers and ensure that both levels of confidence and expertise are increased. No prior experience is necessary, there will be sessions accommodating all levels of experience.

Last year there was a record number of delegates so booking early is recommended.
