Celebrating STEM Clubs

STEM Clubs Week 2018

We are excited to announce the launch of our new STEM Clubs programme material this February.

The UK STEM Clubs programme, a national initiative led by STEM Learning, can support schools, employers, youth groups and colleges to take the next step; whether that’s establishing a new Club or reinvigorating an existing one. We have developed an inspiring support package, exploring STEM-related subjects (science, technology, engineering, computing and mathematics) outside the curriculum. The first resources to be launched will showcase STEM on screen.

To support the launch of our new resources and handbook, we are leading a STEM Clubs Week; celebrating the wonderful, fun, stimulating and creative work clubs do across the UK.

Getting involved is simple

  1. Celebrate your STEM Club by entering our photo competition. Send us a photo of your most weird and wonderful club activities and we will select a winner at random to receive a prize for their club. It’s free to enter and all you need to do is upload your pictures to our community board and share your stories. #STEMClubsweek2018.
  2. Join us on Facebook on Monday 5 February at 12noon. Simon Quinnell, our National Technician Lead, will be doing a demonstration from one of our new activities - Is there witchcraft and wizardry in the real world?
  3. Put your quiz hat on and test your knowledge in our daily Twitter quiz. With questions based on STEM subjects, anyone can play along.
  4. STEM subject themes will be featured throughout the week, appealing to all STEM Clubs, including resources, support packages, careers and STEM Ambassadors.

Whether you are setting up a new STEM Club or are looking to refresh an existing one, celebrate your STEM Club with us during the 5-10 February 2018 and take advantage of our new free resource package. Discover the exciting world of STEM through STEM Clubs!
