Bake up a storm with the BioBakes Competition

Feeling creative? Entries are currently open for The Physiological Society’s annual #BioBakes Competition.

An engaging activity to kick off the new academic year, entrants are invited to craft a bake that represents a part of the body and how it works to be in with a chance of winning some baking goodies!

Whether you use shortcrust pastry to demonstrate muscle function or bake a cake that represents the anatomy of the eye, there are plenty of ways you can get creative.

The Physiological Society is the largest network of physiologists in Europe and they are keen to engage young people with the subject of physiology. Every year, they hold an international day dedicated to celebrating physiology, called Physiology Friday, and the BioBakes Competition is just one part of this.
