An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Head of Marketing and Communications to lead our pro-active and professional team in York. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a positive, enthusiastic approach who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
This is a senior leadership role, heading up a team of 10 and a valued member of the management team. The individual will be adept at ensuring delivery of high impact marketing activities to increase customer take up of products and services, driving forward key impact messages and the perception of STEM Learning as the Number 1 for STEM.
The next 12 months will be an exciting time for marketing and communications at STEM Learning, as we invest in a community platform, enabling dynamic interactions and tailored communications to enhance engagement with and grow our user base of 230,000+ teachers. The Head of Marketing and Communications will be expected to contribute actively to the success of this development with specific responsibility for managing integration with our existing communications to create a seamless user experience.
We are seeking someone with significant marketing experience and a proven track record in managing teams and leading communications activities in a fast-paced environment. What is critically important to us is your agility, resilience, use of initiative and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills as these will be key to ensuring the delivery of a high quality and coherent communications service to internal and external stakeholders.

Remuneration and benefits
Salary £50-60k dependent on experience. Appointment to this role enables access to the USS pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a wide range of staff benefits.
This is a temporary post of up to 12 months to cover a maternity leave.
