Free CPD session for Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 5 teachers

The University of Exeter are holding a free CPD session for teachers of Key Stage 3-Key Stage 5 on the theme of ‘Space Weather’ on Tuesday 18 July 4-6pm.

Workshops will be delivered by Dr Helen Mason, a solar physicist from the University of Cambridge and Dr Ciaran Beggan from the British Geological Survey. They will demonstrate some exciting links between current research and the national curriculum, looking at aspects of magnetism, space physics, atomic structure, earth and atmospheric science.

This will be followed by two public lectures delivered by the world-renowned speakers, Prof. Lucie Green from University College London and Dr Sanjay Limaye from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 6-8pm and a hands-on science fair in the Northcott Theatre.
