We know that there are some schools who desperately want to book our creative learning programmes – but whose Covid-19 protocols don’t, for the time being, allow external visitors. So, for the first time, we’ve designed a way that allows you to enjoy many of our most popular programmes beamed live into your classrooms by one of our expert team of practitioners! Bookings can be for as little as one hour, with one class, but up to a whole day – and you can choose from …

CSI: Storyland: mixing storytelling with maths (EYFS – Year 2/P1 – P3) …

CSI: Michaela Maths: using a range of mathematical skills to solve a dastardly crime (Years 3 – 6/P4 – 7) …

CSI: Bake Off: using the fuel of fractions (and, for older pupils, percentages) to clear up some trouble in the kitchen crime (Years 3 – 6/P4 – 7) …

CSI: Reading Skills: where skimming and scanning, inference and deduction and reading for context and comprehension will help MI5 out of a tight spot (crime (Years 3 – 6/P4 – 7)

Grants for school

The Royal Institution runs two enrichment and enhancement grant schemes. Grants of up to £500 are available to UK-registered state schools to host a STEM activity selected from the STEM Directory.

There are a number of other organisations that offer grants to schools.
