Bioprofiles STEM – outdoor global environmental studies

Learning through Landscapes

Bioprofiles Erasmus+ is a fully-funded outdoor learning event that will inspire and equip you as a teacher to lead outdoor learning sessions in your local greenspace. You will hear from other teachers and undertake practical outdoor activities.

The activities will be environmental indicators to assess the quality of your school and local community environment. We will look at water, waste, ecology and much more. You will be supported with signposting to FREE resources which you can use in school after you attend the session.

During the course we will provide a free buffet meal and time to network with other teachers.

Teachers have told us these activities can Move young people from climate extinction frustration to climate action – enabling students to understand the issues in more depth and link to solutions’.

This course is targeted at upper primary or Key stage 3 secondary teachers in England and Scotland.

 

Practicalities: The course will run indoors and outdoors. Please bring a pen / pencil, tablet or phone and suitable outdoor clothing.

Date: Thursday 21st May 2020 from 2-6pm. 

Venue: Richard Bonington Primary and Nursery School Calverton Rd, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 8FQ.

Parking: On-site parking is limited. Please park at the Longbow pub (same post code as the school) on the left hand side of the car park only and walk the short distance to school.

Refreshments: We will provide food and drinks during the event.

Notes: This project is funded by Erasmus+ . We will share your name, school name and email address with them for the purposes of delivering this programme. Your information will not be used for marketing purposes.

  • inspired and equipped to lead quality, curricular linked outdoor learning sessions,
