It covers thousands of years of history, including: *the abacus *log tables *the calculators of Pascal and Leibnitz *Jacquard looms *Babbage's Difference Engine and Lady Ada's role in programming *through wartime and post-war developments in technology and theory. The lesson comes right up to date, looking at the growth of Microsoft, Apple and Google. Included are a word-search and homework as well as a classroom activity sheet.
