Learning in Mathematics Through CPD
Walsall Adult and Community College is a grade one college which delivers courses from pre-entry level to Level 2. The aim of this self-improvement activity was to develop the teaching and learning approaches of both teaching staff and support workers. This involved a series of CPD sessions whereby staff developed new approaches (e.g. effective questioning techniques) and support staff were given the opportunity to do more joint planning of lessons with teaching staff. The activity has had a positive impact on teachers, support staff and students.
