Make It Count - a Fresh Start with Numbers

This resource from the National Extension College was linked to a Yorkshire Television series of the same name. This book is a simple, practical guide to numbers. It has a step-by-step approach which takes the reader through the ways in which numbers are used.

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages are covered. It starts with small numbers up to 20, then numbers in the hundreds and finally goes on to everyday numbers in the context of rent, gas and shopping in thirteen incrementally harder sections. Make it Count shows numbers in real life situations covering counting, time, measuring, naming and money.
