Outstanding schemes of work
By translating current evidence about excellent practice in teaching and learning into effective planning for learning experiences, you will have opportunities to develop your schemes of work so they are fit for purpose, as part of outstanding teaching and learning in science.
You will explore ways of embedding meaningful practical work, planning for ongoing Assessment for Learning, differentiation, scientific enquiry and ways of linking learning to real life science within their schemes of work.
You will be able to:
- identify essential features in a scheme of work that promote successful teaching and learning
- describe and evaluate a range of examples of good practice in teaching and learning
- apply these strategies in different scientific contexts at 11 - 14 and 14 - 16
