Making and Using Chemicals

This collection presents material for chemistry teachers on a variety of aspects of the UK chemical industry, including the steel industry. It covers some of the economic dimensions of the chemical industry, environmental concerns and constraints together with how solutions to these issues are explored. The issue of scaling up processes from the laboratory bench to full scale production via pilot plant is discussed.
