This programme is designed for staff in leadership, teaching, or head of department roles within a school who are either currently leading engineering or planning the introduction of engineering across their school.


Summary

The course gives you an opportunity to work with an experience engineering lead and outlines the elements that make up a good engineering programme, combining both practical teaching tips and ideas as well as enrichment and enhancement programmes. You will explore the range of external organisations that can help, as well as how to engage with local employers.  

Participants will return to their school equipped with a range of ideas, initiatives and support mechanisms to help them lead the development of engineering within school.

The programme is designed for any member of staff within a school who has responsibility for introducing or taking on leadership of engineering in their setting.  It is particularly useful for New or aspiring heads of engineering or those in roles who are either currently leading engineering or planning the introduction of engineering across their school.
