NQT Weekend: Boosting your teaching- practical science NY301

Develop your repertoire of practical activities to boost your teaching of science subjects

Summary

Your first year of teaching can be challenging. Reinvigorate yourself with one of our weekend courses to boost your teaching. This weekend focuses on practical science - explore effective ways to approach all the core GCSE practicals across chemistry, physics and biology, as well as developing good practical experiences across the whole of secondary science.

You will be supported by subject experts in developing your repertoire of practical activities as well as good practice in organising practical work. There are opportunities for one-to-one discussions to personally support you in your first year of teaching and support you away from your own school environment.

The weekend will also enable you to network with other newly qualified teachers from around the UK, to share resources and experiences, while benefiting from the superb facilities at the National STEM Learning Centre.

This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.
