Summary

This practical based course is designed to be an introduction to TIG welding. It is held in the mechanical workshop of the School of Engineering, intending to provide a hands on experience. You will receive training and instruction on welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This course is recommended for anyone interested in increasing their technical skills to include TIG welding. As the course has a one-to-one format, the content and variation can be adjusted to suit your own requirements and skill level to allow you to progress at your own pace.You are asked to bring your own lab coats and safety footwear. Laser beams will be used as part of this course and health and safety training will be provided.

Outcomes

You will receive training and instruction on welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
