Introductory CNC milling - ProTRAK control HC130
A one-to-one practical course to provide you with hands on experience in fundamental CNC milling.
This one-to-one practical based course will provide you with hands on experience in fundamental CNC milling.
The course will cover:
- understanding the constraints of the machine
- setting appropriate tooling
- simple programming using Protrac controller
- general machining in 2D and 3D mode
This course is recommended for workshop machinists and technicians looking to gain a practical understanding of basic CNC milling operation. A basic understanding and experience in manual milling procedures is expected, and you are asked to bring your own lab coats and safety footwear. Laser beams will be used as part of this course and health and safety training will be provided.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- set the machine safely and correctly
- produce a component with the PCD
- machine a component in 3D
