Primary science for new and recently qualified teachers NY015

Learn how to plan appropriate and varied lessons in STEM subjects. This activity will help you answer difficult questions from children and increase your understanding of the primary curriculum.

Summary

Planning exciting, differentiated science lessons can be a lot to get your head around when you are new to the job!

Not only do you have to assess the children and be there to answer their complex questions, but children are expected to make progress, learn to select the most appropriate method of enquiry, calculation or computation and be safe.

This course will help you to understand the requirements of the primary science curriculum, improve your subject knowledge and give you time to plan for excellent science lessons.

This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.
Course fees vary for participants outside the UK. Please contact enquiries@stem.org.uk for more information.
